Our History
We are a 7th generation farm set on 200 acres along the Sequatchie River just north of Pikeville, TN. Since the early 1800’s our family has been stewards of this land, raising beef and dairy cattle, pork, and food crops. Built over two centuries, we have inherited an incredible connection to the land and the bounty of the Sequatchie Valley. The unique soil composition, elevation, orientation and climate of the valley combine for what we believe are superior conditions for viticulture in the South and we are truly dedicated to growing exceptional grapes and making premium wine here in Tennessee.
Our first vineyard was planted in 2020 with the assistance of the University of Tennessee and consists of Hybrid varieties Chambourcin and Traminette. This was followed by an expansion in 2022 when we planted a block of Chardonel. In 2025 we expanded further with a significant planting including Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot as well as Vidal Blanc, Chancellor and a Riesling hybrid called Aravelle. Our vineyards now comprise 10 acres with the remainder of our farm dedicated to cattle ranching and row crops.
Our name, Crow Creek, is the original name of the Sequatchie River when the area was settled in the late 18th century.
